Job description

Intro

Back problems are the most common cause of sick leave in Germany.

Vivira has the solution: digital exercise therapy via app. Available, accessible, simple, effective, and reimbursed by health insurance. Vivira was born from the need to treat musculoskeletal conditions as simply and effectively as possible.

Your responsibilities include

As Chief Revenue Officer, you own Vivira's entire revenue organization – Practice Sales & Success, Patient Success, Marketing, and CRM, around 30 people in total. You report directly to the CEO, are a member of the Core Leadership Team, and lead all team leads within the revenue organization directly.

The starting point: Vivira, the most-prescribed DiGA for back pain, is in a critical growth phase. For us, sales means consulting: we win practices by showing how prescribing our DiGA improves care for their patients and takes pressure off their daily routine. And our work does not end when the DiGA is activated – it aims at therapeutic success for patients and practice relationships that last for years.

The transformation of the revenue organization is under way – now it needs a leader to carry it forward and bring it to a successful conclusion. In concrete terms:

  • Drive the revenue transformation: You define revenue strategy, tactics, and OKRs, establish clear ownership, and make sure our Sales & Success teams for practices and patients, Marketing, and CRM work as one along the entire value chain – from the first consultation in the practice, through the prescription, to the activated patient – and beyond, to therapeutic success: repeat prescriptions happen when practices see their patients getting healthier.

  • Lead the leaders: Day-to-day practice engagement is currently run by three team leads. You set direction, goals, and guardrails, and you are the sparring partner and backbone for your leads – coaching and clear decisions, no micromanagement.

  • Marketing as a growth lever: Together with your Marketing lead you define the strategy and lead the team toward ROI-positive results. You do not need to master performance marketing in depth yourself – but you must be able to judge campaigns commercially and ask the right questions.

  • Shape the market and growth: You represent the revenue function in the Core Leadership Team, develop new access routes to practices and patients, partnerships, and revenue streams, and help shape Vivira's positioning in the market and toward partners.

How we measure your success in year one:

  • Sales & Success for practices and patients: growth in the number of prescribing practices and prescriptions per practice – especially among practices that prescribe repeatedly – plus a higher activation rate of prescribed DiGA codes.

  • Marketing: campaigns that are demonstrably ROI-positive.

What you should bring

  • Several years of executive experience in a comparable role – CRO, CCO, Commercial Director, or VP Sales/Commercial – in pharma, MedTech, or digital health with a B2B2C model.

  • You know the German healthcare system from hands-on consultative selling, especially the outpatient sector: you have personally advised office-based physicians and won them over for products that require explanation – ideally in orthopedics and general practice – and you have demonstrably built and scaled practice-facing teams, both field and inside.

  • You see sales as consulting: you win practices through medical benefit, evidence, and relief in daily practice life – not through pressure. You live this attitude and anchor it in your teams.

  • Marketing is familiar territory: you have led marketing teams, can assess performance marketing campaigns commercially, and know how practice-level field marketing works. You command the interface between marketing, practice engagement, and patient activation in both directions – you do not have to be the best performance marketer in the room, but you lead the one who is.

  • You have led leaders – team leads as direct reports – and combine strategic thinking with a hands-on mentality, having steered organizations through change and scaling phases. You spot early when things are going off track and surface problems before they grow.

  • A network in the pharma, MedTech, or healthtech ecosystem and experience with Digital Therapeutics (DTx) are a strong plus. Native-level German and fluent written and spoken English.

  • What we also expect: a solid track record with concrete situations in which you took ownership, made difficult decisions, and delivered measurable results. Pure business development or strategy profiles without hands-on experience in consultative sales and marketing are not a fit for this role.

What to expect at Vivira

  • Mandate: full revenue ownership of Practice Sales & Success, Patient Success, Marketing, and CRM – around 30 people – reporting directly to the CEO. In a small, high-impact Core Leadership Team you shape the company's development, not just your own area.

  • Sparring: direct collaboration with founder & CEO Philip – short paths, fast decisions, and a leadership team that carries the transformation with you.

  • Room to shape: an established, reimbursable DiGA as the foundation, a market in transition, and new revenue streams you help build.

  • Workplace: hybrid model with 2–3 days per week in our offices in Berlin-Mitte or Munich, regular business travel to our Sales & Success teams and practices across Germany, and the rest of the time flexibly from home.

  • Working Abroad: the option to work remotely for up to one month per year from the EU, the EEA, Switzerland, Israel, or the UK.

  • Recharge: 30 days of vacation – for real breaks and fresh energy.

  • Health: mobility and back strength straight from us – digital support you can use yourself.

  • Secure your future: an increased employer contribution to your pension plan helps you build for tomorrow.

  • Referral bonus: sharing your network pays off – every successful referral is rewarded.

  • Highlights: several company and team events a year for exchange, fun, and a real sense of team.
