Your mission

Join our Robotics group and help turn innovative research ideas into reliable, practical software for medical imaging and robotic applications.

As a working student, you’ll contribute to the development of our medical robotics framework, gain hands-on experience, and work on technologies with the potential to improve patients’ lives.

This role is based in Munich and requires regular on-site presence at our office, so it’s best suited to students who live in or near Munich and enjoy working in person with the team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop robotics software components in C++ for medical imaging and robotic applications.
  • Support the integration of robotic systems, simulation environments, and application workflows.
  • Develop tools and prototypes to explore, test, and improve robotic workflows.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of engineers, researchers, and clinical experts.
  • Identify, debug, and resolve technical issues throughout the development process.
  • Document your work to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Your profile

  • You’re currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have strong programming skills in C++.
  • You’re interested in robotics, medical imaging, computer-assisted interventions, or related technologies.
  • You can learn quickly, work independently, and turn ideas into working solutions.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • You have a good command of English. German is not required.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI, or simulation environments is a plus.

Knowledge of ultrasound, medical imaging, or machine learning approaches is a plus, but curiosity and the ability to learn quickly are most important.

Why us?

  • Join an international, highly skilled team where your ideas and contributions matter.
  • Work on meaningful projects in medical research and technology, with the potential to improve patients’ lives.
  • Gain hands-on experience with medical software development, including regulatory requirements and standardized development processes.
  • Contribute to cutting-edge research, with opportunities to publish successful findings.
  • Enjoy the flexibility and agility of a start-up combined with the stability of an established company.
  • Benefit from flexible working hours and the option to work remotely or from our Munich office.
