Job description

Intro

Adsquare's mission is centered on:

  • Passion: Solving complex challenges with exceptional people, technology, and data.

  • Niche: Specializing in Location Intelligence for Programmatic Advertisers.

Our work is guided by our core values, and we look for candidates who embody them:

  • Drive: Turning ambition into action that brings valuable outcomes.

  • Resilience: Adapting, persevering, and growing stronger through challenges.

  • No BS: Upholding honesty, transparency, and clear communication.

  • Humble: Valuing modesty and letting results speak for themselves.

  • Moral Compass: Acting with fairness, integrity, and respect.

About the team

You'll join Adsquare's Data Products team, responsible for the pipelines and signals that power our Location Intelligence solutions. Working closely with our Lead PM for Data Products and a squad of data engineers, you'll help ingest, process, and scale the supplier and panel data that fuels our products. Your squad sits at the intersection of engineering, data governance, and downstream teams like Measurement and Activation, ensuring the signals we deliver are fast, reliable, and trustworthy.

Your Mission

As Product Owner for SDV Data Products (f/m/d), you'll own your squad's delivery, turning strategy into clear, testable backlog items while managing the technical scale of our core data pipelines. You'll be the primary technical counterpart to our data suppliers and panel partners, driving the operational reliability that keeps our signals fresh and trusted.

Your Profile

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or technical PM, ideally in AdTech, MarTech, or another data-heavy ecosystem.

  • Strong at managing delivery and technical scale: sequencing complex backend work, mapping dependencies, and scoping against time, whether working with engineers, architects, or integration teams.

  • Operationally rigorous: comfortable thinking in SLIs, SLOs, freshness, match rate, and MTTR, not just features shipped, and skilled at running a tight, testable backlog.

  • Data-fluent, with required SQL proficiency: able to independently query internal data sources to investigate supplier data, panel quality, and pipeline KPIs, and bring quantified evidence into prioritisation.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity: able to make decisions with limited information and translate business intent clearly for engineering.

  • A privacy-aware product thinker who understands data governance and how evolving privacy frameworks affect upstream ingestion and pipeline logic.

  • A clear communicator across altitudes, able to translate strategy into specs and engineering reality into product trade-offs.

  • A true owner who drives outcomes without step-by-step direction and surfaces tensions upward rather than resolving them quietly.

What you will do

  • Own and maintain your squad's backlog, working closely with the Lead PM for Data Products to translate strategy into clear, testable user stories.

  • Lead the roadmap for modernising, scaling, and optimising our core data ingestion and processing pipelines to handle high-throughput workloads.

  • Manage internal dependencies — SLAs, schema contracts, and joint roadmap touchpoints — with downstream squads such as Measurement, Activation, and Data Products.

  • Coordinate releases of new schemas, ingestion endpoints, match logic changes, and signal product enhancements.

  • Act as the primary PO-level counterpart to data supplier and panel partner technical teams, co-owning ingestion specs and schema contracts.

  • Support the Lead PM on new supplier partnerships and panel expansion through feasibility input, integration scoping, and prototype delivery.

  • Define, own, and report on operational KPIs such as signal freshness, SLA adherence, panel coverage, schema validation pass rate, and match rate.

  • Establish SLIs, SLOs, and escalation paths in partnership with engineering, and own the operational visibility layer (dashboards, alerts) that surfaces data product health.

Nice to Have

  • Based in Berlin, or open to working from our Berlin office periodically.

  • Prior experience collaborating directly with identity vendors, panel providers, or purchase-data suppliers on schema and integration work.

Our Software Stack

  • SQL

  • Jira

  • Confluence

  • API Documentation tools
