Job description

How you will make an impact

Hygraph grows through its agency partners via the web development and digital experience shops across Europe who build on us, recommend us, and bring us into deals with brands you know: Dr. Oetker, Samsung, LEGO, Paramount, and many more. One good agency partner is worth more than a thousand cold sequences.

And we're not looking for agencies that build brochure sites. We're focused on finding partners solving use cases beyond traditional CMS, co-developing solutions the market hasn't seen before. The real opportunity is empowering partners to deliver forward-thinking, future-proof outcomes for their clients, with Hygraph as the engine underneath. This role exists to find those partners, bring them on board, and turn them into a reliable pipeline.

You report directly to the Global Sales Director. You'll feed 3 Account Executives and a Solutions Engineer, and work alongside two others on the partnerships team who've been building this ecosystem and will share everything they know. The partner infrastructure exists, but it's a work in progress, and we're actively rebuilding parts of it. If you see a better way to do something, say so. Ideas and initiative get rewarded here

Some of your tasks and responsibilities include

  • Find and sign partners: You'll source (outbound) new agency partners across Europe and beyond; web development shops, digital agencies, CMS specialists. Calls, events, communities, referrals, whatever works. This is signals-based outreach, not list-blasting. You reach out because something tells you the timing is right: a tech stack change, a new client win, a hire, a talk someone gave. Every touch has a reason behind it.

You'll also build the systems that tell you whether it's working. Nobody here will hand you a dashboard, and nobody will accept “I think it's going well” either. When something works, you make it repeatable. When it doesn't, you stop it quickly and try the next thing.

  • Convert inbound: Warm leads come in. Your job is making sure the good ones quickly become real opportunities for our AEs. You'll be rewarded for conversion.

What you will not do: Completely cold outbound to end buyers.

What great looks like

  • Month 1: You're booking and taking partner calls on your own (we hire people who ramp quickly). Your MQL response time is in minutes, not hours.

  • Month 3: You've found at least one acquisition motion that works and made it repeatable. And, you've lifted lead conversion at least 10% above the baseline you inherited.

  • Month 6: You're running partners end to end, from acquisition through to management. When your partners have a deal, a question, or a problem, you're the person they go to directly.

Three main outcomes:

  • Partner-sourced pipeline: the deals your partners bring in.

  • Partner-sourced revenue: signing partners means nothing on its own; revenue from the partners you work with means everything.

  • Lead-to-opportunity conversion rate: the inbound and signals-based outbound you touch converts, or you have ideas on how to fix it.

Meet these and uncapped means uncapped

Your path to promotion

When you have so many partners producing pipeline that you no longer have time to prospect, you become Partner Manager, and we backfill your seat. That's the milestone. Not tenure, not a headcount cycle, not politics. You control how fast that happens by how well you build.

What we expect from you:

We don't care how many years you've done this. We care whether you have the right attitude and technical acumen:

  • You have resilience and follow-through. It's not always going to be easy, but you need the mindset to bounce back and keep going.

  • You act before anyone asks. If you spot a gap, you're already halfway through fixing it by the time you mention it.

  • When something doesn't work, your instinct is to redesign it, not to explain it.

  • You raise the point that needs raising, even when it's easier not to.

  • You do what you said you'd do, when you said you'd do it. Every time.

  • You've figured out something clever that nobody told you to figure out, and you can tell us a story about the impact it had.

Requirements that are actually requirements: fluent German and English (other languages a plus), based in or willing to be in Berlin weekly, and eligible to work in Germany. You know Clay, or you can show us you'll learn it quickly in your first weeks. We call people here (we run Nooks); comfort picking up the phone is essential to this role.

The process and how to apply

Skip the cover letter. Instead, send dan@hygraph.com your cover letter and one paragraph on something you figured out that nobody asked you to: a process you fixed, a motion you invented, or an outcome you delivered. That paragraph is the interview before the interview. Hint: AI-slop is not looked upon favorably.

The process

  1. Apply with the link, and send a paragraph to the hiring manager, Dan

  2. Intro call with our People Team

  3. Hiring Manager (Director of Sales) interview

  4. Case study plus debriefing call with our Sales & Partnerships teams

  5. Team fit call & reference check

  6. Job offer

The response time after application, screening applications, and setting up the first intro call is usually within 1-2 weeks. You could expect some alterations when necessary.

Additional details about the Package

  • €75–90k OTE, uncapped (yes, uncapped). The base salary range is mentioned in the job ad.

  • Remote-first, Berlin office minimum once a week

  • Europe-focused territory, with occasional support for other non-Americas regions
